APIs & integrations

Integrations that make your stack behave like one system

Most operational pain in ecommerce is integration pain — stock that's wrong, orders that don't reach the 3PL, reports nobody believes. We design and build APIs, webhooks and middleware with retries, idempotency and alerting, so data moves reliably and failures surface immediately.

What's included in  API Development & Integrations

The capabilities we bring to the engagement — scoped to what your business actually needs, not a fixed package.

API design & build

REST and GraphQL services with versioning, authentication, rate limiting and OpenAPI documentation.

Third-party integrations

ERPs, PIMs, 3PLs, CRMs, payment providers, marketplaces and marketing platforms connected properly.

Middleware & orchestration

Queue-backed jobs with idempotency keys, retries and dead-letter handling instead of fragile cron scripts.

Data pipelines

Order, customer and event data landed in a warehouse with a model your BI tools can query directly.

Legacy modernisation

Wrap or replace aging systems behind a clean API so new work stops inheriting old constraints.

Monitoring & alerting

Health checks, structured logs, dashboards and on-call alerts, with runbooks for each failure mode.

What you actually receive

Every engagement ends with assets your team owns and can maintain — documented, tested and handed over properly.

  • Integration map covering every system, direction of flow and data owner
  • Documented APIs with OpenAPI or GraphQL schemas and example calls
  • Idempotent, retrying jobs with dead-letter queues and alerting
  • Monitoring dashboards plus a runbook per failure scenario
  • Automated tests, including against sandbox environments of third parties

How we  work together

A predictable rhythm, with something reviewable in your hands at the end of every stage.

  1. Step 1

    System mapping

We document every system, the data it owns and where the current sync actually breaks.

  2. Step 2

    Contract design

Schemas, error handling, idempotency and reconciliation rules agreed before implementation.

  3. Step 3

    Build & test

Sandbox-first development with automated tests covering timeouts, duplicates and partial failures.

  4. Step 4

    Observe & harden

Dashboards and alerts go live, then we tune throughput and retry behaviour under real load.

Common questions

Something not covered here? Ask us directly.

Can you integrate a platform you haven't worked with before?

Yes. The pattern is consistent — read the API docs, build against the sandbox, handle auth, pagination, rate limits and failure modes. We flag early if a vendor's API has hard limitations that affect the plan.

What if the third-party API is unreliable?

We assume it will be. Queue-backed jobs, idempotency keys, exponential backoff, dead-letter queues and reconciliation checks mean an outage delays data rather than corrupting or losing it.

Do you maintain integrations after launch?

We offer ongoing support, which matters here because third parties change APIs and deprecate versions. If you'd rather own it, we hand over documentation, tests and runbooks built for that.
